Win Noll

Bitter Jester Music Festival Judge

Win Noll is the Lead Vocalist and Songwriter for Win Noll and the Rockin Souls. Although she sings the blues, Win is a classically trainer singer who brings a measure of theater to all of her performances. She was a voice major at Northeastern Illinois University before beginning her professional career and studied under Dr. Ronald Combs, one of her professors and a huge mentor.

She is a regular on the local blues scene, playing Buddy Guys, Rosas, Johnny Blitz, and many other notable venues. Win lead her band in Windy City Blues Competition in 2022, taking First Place and getting to represent Chicago down in Memphis at the International Blues Challenge!

In 2021, Win’s self-titled five track EP rallied the Rock Gods! Her debut single “Drinkin’ Buddy” was written as an homage to her sister. Four more tracks follow, inspired by her music heroes: Jimmy Rogers, Etta James, Janice Joplin, and Led Zeppelin. Also songs were recorded with her band, The Rockin’ Souls, at Chicago’s premier blues recording studio, Joyride.

Wins band includes legendary Blues Master Eddie Clearwater’s, drummer, Stephen Bass (co-producer of the album and nephew of famed Chess producer Ralph Bass), and Shoji Naito on bass and guitar (and the album’s other co-producer). The band also consists of Minouru Maruyama on guitar (and acting as music collaborator) along with Seiji Yuguchi (aka “Wabi”) on harp and Mike Flynn on bass, all veterans of the Chicago blues scene.

Together with her band, Win’s music is sensational and captivating; audiences can’t get enough of her authentic, soulful sound. Win Noll & The Rockin' Souls thoroughly entertain with their eclectic mix and interpretation of Blues, Rock, Soul & Country Blues. With their unique identity and unparalleled sound, the six-piece band commands your attention and leaves audiences wanting more.

When she isn’t singing, Win loves to cook, enjoys rescuing cats, and can often be found runing the Greenbay Trails in Illinois.
