Bitter Jester Music Festival Judge

Matt has been a judge for this music festival since its early years. He is a former concert timpanist, and has practiced jazz flute and folk guitar for over twenty five years. There isn't a Spotify playlist he hasn't played through twice, all contributions of which have been met with his thorough but fair judgement.

Matt received his B.A. from Colby College and earned his M.D. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He pursued clinical training in pediatrics at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago before joining the editorial leadership team at ReachMD iHeartRadio.

Currently he works as the Vice President and Medical Director for ReachMD where he is also a host of numerous programs. He is a member of the executive leadership team that directs and executes organizational strategic initiatives and is specifically responsible for all editorial strategy, content partnerships, and programming initiatives.

Matt has overseen the creative development and production of over ten thousand radio and video programs targeting healthcare professionals, and has launched over fifty specialty series brands that represent a broad spectrum of clinical and nonclinical fields. He also initiated ReachMD’s daily medical news service, which provides healthcare professionals with cutting-edge news curated from sources around the world.

Matt is also a founding member and writer/performer of The Comic Thread sketch comedy troupe with Bitter Jester producer Nicolas DeGrazia.
